She went on to run another vegetarian restaurant in Hereford.
She co-authored a healthy eating cookery book, based on the principles of Chinese Medicine.
Louisa was initially drawn to complementary therapies 15 years ago, when she worked at Hospice of the Marches Cancer Care in Herefordshire and Mid Wales. There she experienced the often deeply profound effect acupuncture could have on a persons health and wellbeing.
Over the years her interest in Chinese Medicine and Philosophy grew, she studied holistic massage and indian head massage, ultimately she chose to study acupuncture at degree level.
She studied Traditional Chinese Medicine – Acupuncture at the University of Westminster, attaining a BSc Hons Degree in Acupuncture.
She uses her extensive knowledge of nutrition and diet to help her clients to regain a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
She has subsequently completed post graduate courses in

She is also trained in Tui’na (Chinese Massage), Therapeutic Massage and Indian head Massage.
She has a special interest in treating polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a subject she has researched extensively. She also has experience and training in treating endometriosis, fibroids and women undergoing assisted reproductive techniques.
She has lectured on acupuncture in the treatment of PCOS at the 2008 Verity conference in Manchester www.verity-pcos.org.uk, she worked as part of the Fertility Support Company in Central London, and has supported many women through IVF at the Bridge Clinic,
Hammersmith Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, the Nuffield Clinic in Woking, Calderdale Hospital, Leeds General infirmary, and Manchester CARE.
She worked at the Me and My Baby Clinic in Chelsea, and has much experience in treating women in all stages of pregnancy and post natally, offering treatments for a range of pregnancy related problems.
She is a member of the Acupuncture Childbirth Team Yorkshire.
Louisa is also a birth doula, trained with Nurturing Birth.
Louisa maintains her own spiritual and physical health through regular Tai’Qi and Qigong practice.
She is a keen hill walker, sailor, scuba diver and explorer, although she doesn't get to do those things just now as she is mother to two small and amazing children.
